Calaveras Poesia y arte
Calaveras means skull, Calaveras are traditional skulls and poems, that are satirical. They are typically making fun of a person, group of people, or a myth/legend, by creating artworks or poems that portray them as either dead people, or more traditionally skeletons or skulls. For my Calaveras poem I chose a musician named Steven Cannon. I attempted to write a traditional Calaveras poem about him, using mainly spanish vocabulary that I have been learning and practicing throughout the semester. Once I finished this, I had it edited, to refine my poem. I then created an original art piece, starting by drawing the hand of a skull holding a microphone, in Adobe Illustrator. After refining both my art piece and my poem I used photoshop to combine them to make my final product.
